Pupils use an example text to translate (and sometimes adapt) the given English text into the target language. In this case, pupils have to translate the underlined words/phrases as one (e.g. ‘during the holidays’ is a phrase either found in the text exactly or very similar). After being marked by the teacher, pupils then set a target before re-writing it.
